And we go on!
Anyone who had the privilege of being part of the Temple of Prayer Church for any length of time, will have heard that phrase spoken by Supt. Johnson on numerous occasions. This adapted motto for the Temple of Prayer is what continues to drive us forward in the work of ministry. Jesus told an aspiring disciple in Luke 9:62 (AMP) "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things left behind] is fit for the Kingdom of God." Supt. Johnson gave up everything to follow Christ!
He invited anyone that would to join him. He won many souls to Christ, standing on the Truth of the Gospel. The foundation of Consecration, Fasting, and Prayer is what anchored his soul. While we do miss him here in the earth, we celebrate a life surrendered into God's place of rest. Hebrews 4:9-10 (AMP) states "So there remains a [full and complete] Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has once entered His rest has also rested from [the weariness and pain of] his [human] labors, just as God rested from [those labors uniquely] His own.
For us yet remaining... And we go on!
